Online biotechnology programs in the United States are fairly few and and far between, but there are a few options. Some biotech degree programs are offered entirely online, and others are offered via a hybrid program.

The Top Biotechnology Programs Online

The below list of online biotechnology programs are featured sponsored programs and are by no means an exhaustive list. The programs gathered below are related or similar to biotechnology, and all degree levels are below.

There are not a ton of options for specific biotechnology degrees online, so many wishing to go down that path choose alternative degrees that are similar: engineering, biology, and environmental science are very common.

Most people interested in research positions in the biotech space usually have to have masters degree or above, and companies do not typically fret about the degree of study for your undergrad as long as it is related. Choosing an engineering or environmental science degree is very close, and it will give you more options if you decide a biotechnology career isn’t something you are interested in.

Be sure to weigh your options. It is best to actually get in contact with the university to discuss what is best for you.
