California State Polytechnic is one of the few polytechnic schools in the nation and offers a wide array of biotechnology education options. The university has alwasy been a leader in biotechnology education and was the first to establish a bachelor degree in biotechnology. Bachelor of Science - Biotechnology: This program provides students a lot of flexibility with the following specializations: Physiology/Neurobiology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Microbiology and Pathology, Biochemistry and Molecular Separation Techniques, Agriculture, and Business.

Bachelor of Science - Biomedical Engineering: CSPU also offers in MS in Genetic Engineering through their Biomedical Engineering department.

Masters Degree in Biotechnology: This program is a MS in Biology with a Biotechnology emphasis.
