A new feature that we have added to the site is the ability for users to add blog posts to the site. You have to be logged in to add a blog posts. This segways nicely into another new feature for the site.

In order to reward people for adding career profiles and blog posts to the site, we have started a user points program. Users now receive points for various actions.

User Points Are Currently Awarded As Follows

  • Creating Your User Profile - 5 points
  • Writing A Blog Post - 7 points
  • Creating A Career Profile - 7 points
  • Commenting On A Blog Post - 3 points

Why Should I Want User Points

As more members create profiles on the site, we will need some way to order them We will be ordering the member profiles in lists based on the number of user points accrued.

User points are only good for so long so don't worry if you are late to the game. After a certain period of time user points expire which allows new users a chance to compete. Existing user actions will be awarded points retroactively.
